Blade Design and Construction
The Big Brother features a 9.375-inch clip-point blade forged from 1095 Cro-Van high-carbon steel—a material proven in demanding field conditions. The blade employs a hybrid edge design: a serrated top edge for aggressive cutting and a straight bottom edge for precise slicing. This combination gives you versatility for camp tasks, survival situations, or general outdoor work.
The blade receives an epoxy powder-coat finish in non-reflective black. Testing confirms this coating is more durable than traditional finishes, resisting corrosion, wear, and the elements.
Handle and Ergonomics
The handle is constructed from Kraton G, a synthetic material that remains nearly impervious to sweat, chemicals, water, and wear.
