Why the 25 Walking Varminter Works
The 204 Ruger is purpose-built for varmint work—delivering flat trajectories and minimal recoil. The medium-contour barrel strikes a balance between rigidity and weight, keeping the rifle's overall weight to just 6.9 pounds and overall length to 41.75 inches. This makes it genuinely packable for hunters who cover ground.
The 60-degree bolt throw is a practical advantage often overlooked. It allows you to mount quality optics lower on the receiver, improving ergonomics and sight picture while maintaining clearance for fast bolt operation.
Triple pillar bedding and the AccuTrigger work together to deliver the accuracy varmint hunting demands. This is a rifle that rewards good shooting technique.
