Haydel's RL-99 Redleg Mallard Double-Reed Duck Call
Hand-tuned double-reed mallard call designed to replicate hen mallard vocalizations. Features dual O-ring construction for a tight seal and wet-blowing characteristics that attract late-season ducks.
The Redleg Mallard: Purpose-Built for Serious Waterfowlers
The Haydel's RL-99 "Redleg Mallard" duck call represents decades of refinement in waterfowl calling. This is a tool designed by professionals for professionals—and for hunters who demand authentic mallard reproduction.
What Makes It Work
Double-Reed System The dual-reed design provides the resonance and tonal quality that separates effective calls from mere noise. This system produces the wet, raspy characteristics of a live hen mallard—the vocalizations that commit wary ducks to your decoy spread.
Hand-Tuned Construction Each call is hand-tuned by experienced callers who understand what mallards respond to in the field. This isn't mass-produced; it's crafted with the knowledge that late-season mallards are educated and skeptical.
Dual O-Ring Seal The double O-ring construction ensures a tight, consistent seal. This means reliable performance in cold, wet conditions—exactly when you need it most.
Performance Characteristics
- Blows "wet" for authentic hen mallard tones
- Designed specifically for susie (hen) mallard reproduction
- Effective on late-season migrating mallards
- Durable green plastic construction
When the most challenging ducks of the season arrive, the Redleg Mallard keeps them committed to your rig.
