450 Bushmaster Reloading Brass
Starline's 450 Bushmaster unprimed brass cases provide the foundation for building accurate, reliable ammunition for one of today's most versatile hunting cartridges.
About the 450 Bushmaster
Designed as a close-range, big-bore hunting caliber, the 450 Bushmaster has become increasingly popular among hunters and shooters. Originally developed for AR-15 platform rifles—requiring only an upper receiver swap—this cartridge has expanded beyond the modern sporting rifle world.
Recent developments have broadened its appeal:
- Ruger now chambers their American Ranch and Gunsite Scout bolt-action rifles in 450 Bushmaster
- Many states have updated game laws to permit straightwall cartridges for deer hunting
- The cartridge offers excellent performance for close-range hunting scenarios
Reloading Flexibility
The 450 Bushmaster uses standard .452" diameter bullets, giving reloaders considerable flexibility. You can load bullets ranging from 160 grains up to 350+ grains, allowing you to tailor your loads for specific hunting applications or shooting conditions.
