Sierra Tipped MatchKing 60gr .224 Bullets
Sierra has refined its legendary MatchKing line by adding an acetal resin tip to create the Tipped MatchKing (TMK) bullet series. This enhancement represents a significant advancement in precision rifle ammunition.
Key Features
- Reduced Drag: The acetal resin tip lowers aerodynamic drag, producing a more favorable ballistic coefficient for flatter trajectories and better downrange performance
- Reliable Feeding: The tip design ensures consistent feeding in magazine-fed firearms, eliminating the feeding issues sometimes associated with flat-point match bullets
- Match-Grade Accuracy: Built on Sierra's proven MatchKing foundation, these bullets deliver the record-setting accuracy that competitive shooters demand
- 60-Grain Weight: Fills a gap in the .22 caliber match bullet market, offering an ideal balance for precision rifle applications
Specifications
- Caliber: .224 diameter
- Weight: 60 grains
- Quantity: 100 bullets per box
- Barrel Twist Requirement: 1:10" or faster
Important Notes
While Tipped MatchKing bullets excel in target shooting and precision rifle competition, they are not recommended for hunting applications. Their design does not provide the reliable expansion characteristics needed for ethical game harvesting. For varmint hunting, Sierra's Hornet Blitz or Varminter bullets are better suited to the task.
