Why the 64 Takedown Matters
This rifle excels where versatility counts. The takedown capability means you can pack it compactly for backcountry trips, vehicle storage, or quick transitions between shooting positions. The straight-blowback action runs cleanly and requires minimal maintenance—important when you're far from a workbench.
The 16.5-inch barrel strikes a practical balance: short enough for handling in tight spaces, long enough to deliver consistent velocity and accuracy. Factory sights get you shooting immediately, while the drilled and tapped receiver accommodates optics when you're ready to upgrade.
For shooters seeking a reliable, portable 22 LR platform, the Savage 64 Takedown delivers genuine utility without compromise.
