CRKT 2742 Kuk Fixed Blade Knife
CRKT's 10.56-inch Kuk features a recurved carbon steel blade with black powder coat finish and textured grip handle. Includes sheath with paracord attachment for versatile carry options.
The Kuk: Form Meets Function
Named after the iconic Nepalese kukri, the CRKT 2742 Kuk brings serious capability to your outdoor toolkit. This is a full-tang fixed blade that doesn't apologize for what it is—a workhorse designed for demanding tasks.
Blade Design and Construction
The recurved blade geometry is no accident. This shape concentrates cutting force and provides excellent slicing capability across a wide range of cutting tasks. The 65Mn carbon steel construction delivers durability and edge retention that will serve you well in the field. A black powder coat finish protects the blade while maintaining a professional appearance.
Handle and Ergonomics
Balancing the substantial blade is a tough glass-reinforced nylon handle with textured grip surfaces. This material resists weather, won't crack in cold conditions, and provides reliable grip even when wet or gloved. The full-tang construction means the blade extends completely through the handle for maximum strength and durability.
Carry System
The included woven polyester sheath is built for serious use. Integrated paracord attachment points give you multiple carry options—belt carry, pack attachment, or lashing to gear. Whether you're hiking remote terrain or working around camp, you'll find a carry method that works for your situation.
The Bottom Line
The Kuk delivers the balance of form and function that separates quality tools from mere objects. This is a knife built to work.
