CRKT Provoke Compact Folding Knife
CRKT's Provoke Compact delivers power in a pocket-sized package. This hawkbill-style folder features D2 steel, aircraft-grade aluminum handle, and innovative Kinematic deployment for reliable everyday carry and self-defense.
The CRKT Provoke Compact: Reimagined for Modern Carry
The Provoke Compact represents a thoughtful redesign of a classic concept—a true everyday carry knife that doesn't compromise on capability or portability. This is a knife engineered for those who understand that sometimes the best tool is the one you actually have with you.
Design and Deployment
The knife employs CRKT's Kinematic technology, a deployment system that responds to thumb pressure on the upper crossbar. A firm grip on the handle combined with thumb activation triggers the blade to deploy decisively. This mechanism keeps the knife secure during transit while ensuring it's ready when needed.
Blade and Steel
The hawkbill-style blade—modeled after traditional karambit designs—is forged from D2 steel, a tool steel known for excellent edge retention and durability. The stonewashed finish provides both aesthetic appeal and practical corrosion resistance.
Handle and Carry
Aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum forms the handle, delivering the strength you need with minimal weight penalty. This material choice makes the Provoke Compact genuinely ultraportable without feeling fragile. The integrated pocket clip ensures secure, low-profile carry in your pocket or on your belt.
The Bottom Line
The Provoke Compact is a self-defense and utility knife that respects the reality of everyday carry: the best knife is the one you have with you. Compact, capable, and thoughtfully designed.
