Federal Premium Vital-Shok TruBall Rifled Slug
Forgot what you thought you knew about smoothbore slug gun accuracy. The Federal Premium Vital-Shok TruBall represents a genuine advancement in shotgun slug performance, delivering groups as tight as 1.4 inches at 50 yards—a standard most shooters associate only with rifled barrels.
The TruBall Advantage
The innovation lies in Federal's proprietary TruBall system. A precision-engineered plastic ball sits between the wad and slug, centering the projectile in your barrel as it travels down the bore. This design accomplishes two critical objectives:
- Consistent centering ensures the slug exits the barrel in perfect alignment
- Clean separation of all components after muzzle exit maximizes accuracy downrange
