The InfiRay RICO Micro MQD represents a thoughtful solution to a persistent problem in modern tactical optics: the need for seamless transitions between rifle-mounted and helmet-mounted configurations. This mount accomplishes that goal through an innovative hybrid design.
How It Works
The system combines two proven mounting standards into a single, elegant package:
- MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny Rail: The rifle-side interface that locks securely to any standard picatinny rail
- Standard Dovetail Shoe: The helmet-side interface compatible with Wilcox, KVC, and other industry-standard helmet mounting hardware
This dual-interface approach means your optic transitions between platforms without requiring different mounts or adapters.
Flexible Offset Configuration
The MQD mount's adjustable design gives you two distinct mounting positions:
- Standalone Mode: 4.5 inches of rear offset for dedicated rifle mounting
- Clip-On Mode: 1.5 inches of rear offset when reversed for use with existing day optics
For shorter platforms like short-barreled rifles and pistols, the clip-on configuration requires only 4 rail slots forward of your primary optic—a genuine advantage in compact setups.
