Break-In Period

Glock magazines are engineered with tight tolerances for reliability. When new, the magazine spring is stiff and may resist loading the final round. This is normal. To expedite the break-in period:

• Load the magazine with nine rounds and allow it to sit for several days
• The spring will gradually compress and relax
• Cycle the magazine from full to empty multiple times to accelerate this process
• After a few days of use, the magazine will load and function smoothly

This break-in behavior is a characteristic of Glock's design philosophy and does not indicate a defect. Once broken in, the magazine will provide years of reliable service.
