Winchester's modern striker-fired 22LR autoloader features a field-removable lower receiver, ambidextrous controls, 10-round rotary magazine, threaded barrel for suppressors, and True Timber VSX camo stock.
Winchester Repeating Arms has reimagined the rimfire autoloader with the Wildcat—a rifle that breaks from conventional design to deliver genuine performance and value. This isn't another "me too" 22; it's a purpose-built platform that borrows centerfire principles to create something genuinely different.
Unlike traditional hammer-fired rimfire rifles, the Wildcat employs a striker-fired mechanism for improved trigger performance. You'll notice faster locktime, lighter pull weight, and enhanced reliability. The hemispherical firing pin design ensures consistent ignition across a wide range of rimfire ammunition.
The field-removable lower receiver assembly contains the trigger group, reversible safety, and bolt assembly. A simple push-button release allows you to separate the upper and lower for easy cleaning—bore access is available from the chamber end without disassembly. This modular approach means straightforward maintenance and customization.
The 10-round rotary polymer magazine is reliable and easy to load. Its bolt-stop feature locks the bolt back after the final round—a convenience feature found on quality centerfire rifles. The Wildcat also accepts standard 10/22 magazines for added flexibility.
The tough tungsten-colored polymer stock keeps overall weight to approximately four pounds. Length-of-pull spacers (+3/4") and clip-on cheek risers (+1/2") are available to customize fit for different shooters and optic heights.
Each rifle ships with a pair of Allen wrenches for stock removal and sight adjustment, plus two magazines.
The Wildcat represents Winchester's commitment to building rimfire rifles that deliver real innovation—not just nostalgia.
