Designer Lucas Burnley's Tuna Compact takes the sophisticated lines of the original Tuna and distills them into an ultra-compact everyday carry knife that punches well above its weight class. At just 2.8 ounces, this is a knife you'll actually keep with you—because carrying a knife you don't have is the same as not having one at all.

Deployment and Handling

The blade deploys with satisfying smoothness thanks to an IKBS ball bearing pivot system. A thumb stud allows confident one-handed opening, and the frame lock—featuring a thick lock bar—secures the blade positively against accidental closure. This is the kind of reliability that matters when you need to cut.

The Blade

The 2.73-inch drop point blade is forged from 8Cr13MoV high-carbon stainless steel. This steel takes and holds an edge well, and when it eventually needs attention, it's straightforward to sharpen. The blade geometry suggests forward momentum and cuts through packages and boxes with authority.

Handle and Carry
