The Springfield Armory Hellion represents a genuinely innovative approach to semi-automatic rifle design. By placing the action behind the trigger in a true bullpup configuration, Springfield has created a rifle that combines genuine portability with serious ballistic performance.

Why Bullpup?

The bullpup design delivers a 20-inch barrel in an overall length of just 32.25 to 33.75 inches. This means you get the velocity and accuracy benefits of a full-length barrel without the unwieldy length. The Hellion handles like a carbine but shoots like a rifle.

Practical Features for Real-World Use

Ambidextrous Design: Every control—safety, charging handle, and case ejection—works equally well for left and right-handed shooters. The reversible ejection system means brass goes where you want it.

Gas System Flexibility: The two-position adjustable short-stroke piston gas block lets you switch between suppressed and normal operation. This adaptability makes the Hellion equally at home with or without a suppressor.

Sighting Solutions: Integrated flip-up iron sights with elevation adjustment (front) and five-position windage adjustment (rear) are ready to go out of the box. The Picatinny top rail accepts any standard optic.

Accessory-Ready

The polymer M-Lok handguard features nine slots for mounting lights, lasers, or other tactical accessories. The rifle accepts standard AR-15 pattern grips, so you can customize ergonomics to your preference.
