Weatherby Select Plus 7mm PRC 150gr Scirocco

Weatherby Select Plus 7mm PRC Ammunition

Weatherby Select Plus represents the pinnacle of factory rifle ammunition, combining proven magnum design principles with premium bullet construction for hunters and long-range shooters who demand the best.

Cartridge Performance

The 7mm PRC (Precision Rifle Cartridge) was introduced in 2022 as Hornady's newest addition to their precision rifle lineup. This cartridge was specifically designed to push long, heavy bullets in a standard long-action platform—a significant advantage for hunters seeking extended-range capability without magnum-length actions.

Ballistic Advantages

• High Ballistic Coefficient: The 150-grain Scirocco bullet maintains exceptional velocity downrange, delivering consistent energy to target
• Flat Trajectory: Minimal bullet drop at hunting distances reduces hold-over adjustments
• Long-Range Accuracy: Superior aerodynamics keep shots on target at extended distances, ideal for western hunting
• Industry-Leading Velocity: Weatherby's 3050 fps muzzle velocity sets the standard for 7mm PRC performance

Bullet Construction

The Swift Scirocco is a bonded-core projectile engineered for controlled expansion and deep penetration. This construction ensures reliable performance on game animals across a wide range of distances and impact velocities.
