Hornady ELD-VT 22 Cal .224 62gr Bullets
Hornady's ELD-VT combines match-grade aerodynamics with varmint-hunting velocity. These 62-grain .224 bullets deliver rapid fragmentation and exceptional accuracy for long-range varmint hunting and competition shooting.
Hornady ELD-VT: Match Performance Meets Varmint Velocity
The Hornady ELD-VT represents a significant advancement in varmint bullet design, merging the aerodynamic efficiency of match-grade projectiles with the high-velocity characteristics essential for effective varmint hunting.
Design Philosophy
These 62-grain bullets incorporate years of ballistic research to deliver a unique combination of features:
- Low-drag profile: The sleek, match-bullet shape minimizes wind drift and maintains velocity downrange
- Optimized weight distribution: Reduced core-to-bullet-length ratio maximizes muzzle velocity while moving the center of gravity rearward for enhanced aerodynamic stability
- Polymer tip: Drives rearward upon impact through an air gap into the bullet core, initiating rapid and dramatic fragmentation
Performance Characteristics
The ELD-VT excels in demanding applications:
- Unmatched accuracy for precision shooting
- Rapid fragmentation even at lower velocities
- Consistent performance across varied hunting conditions
- Suitable for both long-range varmint hunts and competitive shooting events
