Hornady ELD-VT .308 174gr Rifle Bullets

Hornady ELD-VT: Match Precision Meets Varmint Performance

The Hornady ELD-VT represents a significant advancement in bullet design, merging the aerodynamic efficiency of match-grade projectiles with the velocity and fragmentation characteristics demanded by serious varmint hunters and long-range competitors.

Design Philosophy

These .308 174-grain bullets incorporate years of ballistic research to deliver a unique performance profile. The ELD-VT pairs a sleek, low-drag match bullet profile with a reduced core-to-bullet-length ratio. This geometry accomplishes two critical objectives: it maximizes muzzle velocity and repositions the center of gravity rearward for enhanced aerodynamic stability downrange.

Performance Characteristics

Accuracy: The match-grade profile ensures consistent flight and tight groupings at extended ranges.

Fragmentation: Upon impact, the polymer tip drives rearward through an internal air gap and into the bullet core, triggering rapid and dramatic fragmentation. This occurs reliably even at reduced velocities, making the ELD-VT effective across a broad spectrum of hunting scenarios.

Velocity: The optimized weight-to-length ratio allows these bullets to achieve higher muzzle velocities than traditional varmint rounds, extending effective range and reducing wind drift.

Applications

The ELD-VT excels in long-range varmint hunting, precision rifle competitions, and any shooting discipline where you demand both accuracy and terminal performance. Whether you're pursuing prairie dogs at distance or competing in precision matches, these bullets deliver the confidence to perform.

Quantity: 100 rounds per box, 15 boxes per case.
