Compact everyday carry folder with 2.19" 12C27 Sandvik cleaver blade, stonewashed stainless steel handle, and smooth ball bearing deployment. Built for strength in a minimal package.
Designed by Darriel Caston of D Rocket Design, the MinimalX represents an evolution of a knife originally commissioned for SpaceX to commemorate a rocket launch. Impressed by Caston's work, the company requested a custom series for their crew. The result is a knife engineered around a single principle: pack maximum strength and durability into the smallest possible footprint.
12C27 Sandvik Steel delivers excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance. The modified cleaver blade design features a sharpened front edge optimized for push-cutting tasks, making it equally capable for utility work or everyday cutting chores.
The IKBS ball bearing pivot system ensures smooth, reliable blade deployment every time. The stonewashed stainless steel handle provides a secure grip while resisting corrosion and wear from daily use.
The MinimalX proves that size doesn't determine capability. This is a serious cutting tool disguised as a minimalist everyday carry—the kind of knife you'll reach for whether you're opening packages at your desk or tackling camp tasks in the field.
