CRKT M16-01DZ Everyday Carry Folding Knife
CRKT M16-01DZ EDC folder features a 3.12" tanto-style D2 steel blade with Veff Serrations, Desert Tan handle, automated liner safety, and Carson Flipper for smooth, reliable deployment.
The CRKT M16-01DZ: Purpose-Built for Daily Use
The M16-01DZ is an everyday carry knife engineered for those who demand both performance and reliability in a compact package. This is a tool designed to be used—not merely carried.
Blade Design and Performance
The 3.12-inch tanto-style blade cuts with authority. The D2 steel holds an excellent edge and resists corrosion better than many stainless alternatives. Veff Serrations along the spine provide extra bite when cutting through rope, webbing, and fibrous materials—tasks where a plain edge struggles.
Mechanical Excellence
Carson Flipper Technology: The signature Carson Flipper mechanism ensures intuitive, one-handed deployment. IKBS (Improved Knife Bearing System) bearings deliver smooth opening and closing action that remains consistent through years of use.
Automated Liner Safety: An additional layer of lock security prevents accidental closure during use. This is serious engineering for serious work.
Ergonomics and Carry
The Desert Tan G10 handle provides secure grip in wet or dry conditions. The compact profile makes this knife equally at home in a pocket, on a belt, or in a pack. Weight and balance are optimized for extended carry without fatigue.
The Bottom Line
The M16-01DZ represents CRKT's commitment to functional design. This is not a knife that looks tactical—it is tactical, built for users who understand that the best tool is one you'll actually carry and deploy.
