Primary Weapons Systems FRC Compensator 1/2x28

Primary Weapons Systems FRC Compensator

The FRC compensator from Primary Weapons Systems represents a thoughtful approach to muzzle device design. Rather than chasing flash reduction at the expense of all other considerations, PWS engineers prioritized recoil mitigation as the primary function while delivering excellent flash suppression as a secondary benefit.

Design and Function

The distinctive 2-port design accomplishes several things simultaneously:

• Recoil Reduction: The port geometry redirects gases to counteract muzzle rise and recoil impulse
• Flash Management: Ports are angled to direct flash away from your optics and line of sight, preserving your ability to see the target
• Overpressure Mitigation: The design minimizes overpressure effects that can degrade accuracy or cause discomfort

Suppressor Integration

The FRC is engineered as a suppressor-ready platform. When paired with Primary Weapons Systems suppressors, the compensator provides a tight, repeatable lockup that maintains zero through extended shooting cycles. This reliability matters whether you're conducting precision work or pushing high round counts in demanding conditions.

About Primary Weapons Systems

PWS was founded in 2008 by firearm enthusiasts committed to practical innovation. The company's reputation was built on extensive testing across multiple platforms—from M4 carbines to long-stroke piston rifles. That real-world testing revealed that different operating systems impose different maintenance demands. This insight led to PWS's development of their long-stroke piston system, which maintains AR-15 design principles while reducing maintenance requirements during high-volume fire and adverse conditions.
