SOG Terminus SJ LTE: The Everyday Carry Slip-Joint

The Terminus SJ LTE represents SOG's commitment to producing a knife that works everywhere—literally. Designed with international carry laws in mind, this slip-joint folder delivers genuine utility in a package that weighs just over two ounces.

Design and Functionality

The slip-joint mechanism is the heart of this knife's appeal. Unlike locking folders, slip joints offer:

Effortless operation — smooth opening and closing without mechanical complexity
Easy maintenance — fewer moving parts mean less to clean and maintain
Reliable performance — fewer mechanical bits to fail or cause problems

The Blade

SOG equipped the Terminus with a high-quality S35VN stainless steel blade measuring just under 3 inches. The clip-point geometry provides:

Versatile cutting performance for everyday tasks
A straight edge for clean cuts
A nail nick for one-handed opening
Jimping on the spine for improved grip control
A small guard to prevent accidental finger closure

Handle and Carry

The carbon fiber-reinforced G10 handle delivers a textured, secure grip while keeping overall weight minimal. The reversible low-carry pocket clip accommodates both right and left-hand carry, and the slim profile makes this knife disappear in your pocket.
