Why This Shotgun Works
The 28 gauge is often overlooked, but it's a legitimate choice for upland hunting and clay shooting. It carries less recoil than larger gauges while delivering effective patterns at reasonable distances. The break-action design means no springs to wear, no gas tubes to clean—just a solid mechanical system that functions year after year.
The walnut stock and brass bead sight give this gun a classic appearance without pretense. This is honest gunmaking: form follows function.
Practical Considerations
Break-action shotguns are inherently safe and simple to operate. The single-shot design makes it ideal for beginners learning proper shooting technique, and for experienced hunters who prefer deliberate, thoughtful shooting over rapid fire. The Mobil choke system provides flexibility to match your ammunition and shooting conditions.
