Savage Model 2020 Waypoint: Precision Engineering for the Serious Hunter

The Model 2020 Waypoint represents Savage's commitment to delivering custom-grade rifle performance in a production firearm. This is a rifle built for those who demand accuracy and reliability in the field.

Accuracy and Performance

Savage backs this rifle with a .75 MOA accuracy guarantee—a standard typically reserved for custom rifles. The 24-inch barrel is constructed from premium carbon fiber, reducing weight while maintaining the rigidity necessary for consistent shot placement.

Bolt System

The heart of any rifle is its action. The Waypoint features:

• Dual locking lugs that provide a solid lockup and repeatable engagement
• EDM raceways machined into the receiver for smooth bolt travel
• Fluted bolt design that reduces weight without sacrificing strength
• Dual cocking cams for smooth, effortless operation
• Optimized extraction cam engineered for reliable case extraction in any condition

Stock and Ergonomics

The stock is machined from 100% carbon fiber, delivering a lightweight platform without compromise. This material choice reduces overall rifle weight while providing the durability hunters demand.

Trigger

Savage equipped the Waypoint with a TriggerTech trigger featuring Frictionless Release Technology. The low-profile, non-snag safety design keeps the rifle ready for action without snagging on clothing or gear.

Maintenance and Field Use

Toolless disassembly means you can perform routine maintenance in the field without additional equipment. The rifle ships with a magazine and soft rifle case, ready for your next hunt.

The Model 2020 Waypoint is engineered for hunters who refuse to compromise on accuracy or reliability.
