Faxon Duty 308 Winchester 18" Big Gunner Barrel

Faxon Duty Series Big Gunner Barrel

Faxon has refined the art of barrel-making with this .308 Winchester offering. The Big Gunner profile represents a thoughtful evolution of their proven Medium-Taper design, incorporating extensive customer feedback to deliver a barrel that meets the exacting standards of both competition shooters and duty-focused operators.

Profile Design

The Big Gunner profile is the larger-caliber counterpart to Faxon's renowned 5.56 Gunner barrels. This design philosophy centers on intelligent weight reduction without sacrificing rigidity:

• Medium taper behind the gas block for balanced performance
• Gas block journal set to .750" diameter and 1.9" in length, compatible with standard gas blocks and long-stroke piston kits
• Thinner forward taper from the gas block journal onward, reducing weight while maintaining the structural integrity needed for sustained rapid fire and suppressor use
