Barrel and Accuracy

The 24-inch stainless steel barrel features 5R rifling with a 1:8 twist rate, optimized for the 6.5 PRC cartridge. Great Lakes employs a double thermal stress-relief process and air-gauges each barrel to ensure consistency. The heavy profile provides the rigidity necessary for precision work while managing heat buildup during extended shooting sessions.

Receiver and Controls

Billet aluminum construction throughout—both upper and lower receivers are machined from 7075-T6 aluminum for strength and durability. The rifle-length gas system keeps things reliable and manageable. You get a standard Mil-spec trigger with a 5.5 to 6-pound pull, a mil-spec grip, and a custom charging handle designed specifically for this platform.

Ergonomics and Modularity
