The Q Plan-B mount represents a straightforward solution to a common problem: keeping your suppressor securely attached to your rifle. This mount bridges Q's Cherry Bomb muzzle brake with a wide range of SilencerCo suppressors, eliminating the worry of losing your suppressor downrange.
Design and Function
Q engineered the Plan-B mount with tapered surfaces on both the muzzle brake and mount itself. This taper-to-taper design accomplishes several important things:
- Increased Surface Area: The tapered geometry creates more contact points, resulting in a more secure lockup than traditional threaded connections alone
- Superior Alignment: Proper alignment between your suppressor and barrel is critical for accuracy and suppressor longevity
- Thread Protection: The secure fit protects your barrel threads from carbon buildup and fouling
