The Production Pot IV Melter

The heart of this kit is a serious piece of equipment. The large, deep pot holds approximately 10 pounds of lead and reaches full melt temperature in less than 20 minutes. The pour spout is positioned at the front where you can actually see what you're doing—a feature that matters when you're working with molten metal.

The melter features infinite heat control and uses only 500 watts during initial heat-up, with significantly less power required to maintain temperature. The large, stable base provides the safety margin you need. With 4 inches of clearance under the spout, you can use virtually any standard bullet mold or sinker mold on the market. The unit is capable of reaching 900 degrees Fahrenheit.

The Supporting Tools

The included lead ladle is sized specifically for bullet casting—large enough to keep your metal hot enough for consistent results, yet manageable enough that fatigue won't become a factor during extended casting sessions. It also serves double duty for stirring alloy and skimming dross from the pot surface.

The mold mallet features ash hardwood construction, the same material used in professional baseball bats. A gentle tap on the sprue plate cleanly releases finished bullets from the mold cavities.
