Design and Construction
Three-Reed Configuration The three-reed design with bat wing cut delivers the tonal complexity necessary for convincing turkey vocalizations. This configuration balances volume with control, allowing hunters to produce everything from soft yelps to aggressive cutting sequences.
Diaphragm Call Advantages
- Hands-free operation once positioned in the mouth
- Allows natural head and body movement while calling
- Enables rapid tone changes and realistic cadence variations
- Leaves both hands free for firearm handling
Performance Characteristics
The bat wing reed cut produces natural-sounding calls that appeal to multiple turkey species. The three-reed setup provides:
- Versatility: Capable of hen yelps, clucks, purrs, and gobbler sounds
- Responsiveness: Quick transitions between call types
- Projection: Adequate volume for field distances without excessive effort
Practical Application
This call works effectively during spring gobbler season and fall hunting scenarios. The signature design reflects field-tested engineering for hunters who understand that turkey calling success depends on sound quality and consistency.
