Smith & Wesson M&P9 Shield Plus Carry Comp 9mm

Smith & Wesson Performance Center M&P9 Shield Plus Carry Comp

The Performance Center M&P9 Shield Plus Carry Comp represents a thoughtful evolution in compact defensive pistols. This handgun bridges the gap between full-size performance and carry-friendly dimensions—delivering big-gun capabilities in a package that works for everyday carry.

Recoil Management

The signature Carry Comp features a strategically ported barrel and slide design that leverages firing gases to reduce felt recoil. This means faster target reacquisition and better shot placement, especially important in defensive scenarios where follow-up accuracy matters.

Optics-Ready Design

The slide features a ClearSight cut that accommodates modern red-dot optics while diverting gases away from your sight picture. You maintain an unobstructed view downrange when firing—a critical advantage in dynamic situations.

Ergonomics and Controls

• Flat-Face Trigger: Allows consistent trigger finger placement for more accurate and repeatable shooting
• 18-Degree Grip Angle: Naturally points where your hand wants to go
• Thumb Safety: Traditional manual safety for those who prefer it
• Night Sights: Blacked-out serrated rear sight paired with a night sight front sight for low-light shooting
