Streamlight TLR-7X Sub: Compact Illumination for Subcompact Pistols
The TLR-7X Sub represents a thoughtful evolution in tactical lighting for modern defensive handguns. Engineered specifically for the Sig Sauer P365 and P365 XL, this light delivers serious capability in a package that respects the compact nature of these popular pistols.
Performance and Power
Lighting Output: 500 lumens with 5,000 candela intensity and a 141-meter beam reach. This is genuine tactical-grade illumination—sufficient for target identification at defensive distances and capable of disorienting threats in low-light environments.
Runtime: The multi-fuel design provides flexibility. With a CR123A battery, expect 1.5 hours of continuous operation. The rechargeable SL-B9 lithium-ion battery pack delivers the same 500 lumens for approximately 1 hour before requiring a USB-C recharge.
Design and Functionality
- Rail-Grip Clamp: Securely attaches to the P365/XL's accessory rail without requiring your hands in front of the muzzle during installation or removal
- Ambidextrous Rear Paddle Switches: High and low output modes accommodate both right and left-handed shooters
- Strobe Function: User-enabled for tactical flexibility
- Safe-Off Feature: Prevents accidental activation and conserves battery life
- Durable Construction: Anodized machined aluminum body built to withstand the rigors of duty use
Durability and Reliability
IPX7 waterproof rating ensures operation in wet conditions. The light is assembled in the USA and backed by Streamlight's limited lifetime warranty.
