Grizzly 45-70 Government +P Ammunition

Grizzly Ammo brings serious stopping power to the classic 45-70 Government cartridge with this +P loading. Each round features a 420-grain wide long nose gas check bullet—a design that combines weight retention with controlled expansion.

Key Features

• Bullet Weight: 420 grains
• Bullet Design: Wide long nose with gas check
• Cartridge: 45-70 Government +P
• Packaging: 20 rounds per box, 10 boxes per case
• Application: Lever-action rifles, single-shot rifles, and large-frame firearms

Performance Characteristics

The gas check design protects the bullet's base during firing, ensuring consistent velocity and accuracy. The 420-grain weight provides excellent penetration and energy retention, making this load suitable for hunting medium to large game at typical hunting distances.

The +P designation indicates this ammunition is loaded to higher pressures than standard 45-70 Government loads, delivering increased velocity and energy. Always verify your firearm is rated for +P ammunition before use.

Ideal For

Hunters and shooters who demand reliable, hard-hitting ammunition for their lever-action rifles and single-shot rifles. The gas check construction ensures consistent performance across a variety of firearms.
