Performance and Application

Ultramax ammunition is manufactured to consistent specifications, making it reliable for both hunting expeditions and range practice. The reloadable brass cases represent good value for shooters who reload their own ammunition.

Considerations

The 45-70 Government is a powerful cartridge with significant recoil. Shooters should ensure their rifle is properly maintained and that they practice regularly to master this classic round. The 550-grain bullet weight places this load in the heavier category, suitable for larger game and longer-range work compared to lighter loadings.
