Cold Steel Master Hunter Fixed Blade Knife

The Master Hunter: A Serious Tool for Serious Hunters

Cold Steel's Master Hunter is engineered for one purpose: to handle the demanding work of field dressing and skinning game in the field. This is not a compromise knife, nor is it a fashion statement. It is a working tool built to exacting standards.

Blade Design and Performance

The blade measures 4.5 inches and is forged from American CPM3-V high carbon steel—a material chosen for its edge retention and ability to take and hold a razor-sharp edge. The stonewashed finish provides both aesthetic appeal and practical corrosion resistance.

The spine is a full 3/16 inch thick. This dimension is not arbitrary. That thickness provides the structural rigidity necessary to process large game without flex or failure. The blade features a curved cutting edge for efficient slicing through hide and tissue, combined with a drop point that excels at precise field dressing work.

Handle and Control

The 4.75-inch handle is constructed from Kray-Ex, a shock-absorbent synthetic material that will not rot, shrink, crack, splinter, or mildew. The deeply checkered surface ensures positive control whether your hands are cold, wet, or bloody—conditions that compromise lesser grips. The handle design promotes secure purchase even when wearing heavy gloves.

Sheath and Versatility

The Master Hunter ships with a Secure-Ex sheath that adapts to various belt systems and pack configurations, giving you flexibility in how you carry and deploy your blade.
