Burris Droptine 3-9x40mm Ballistic Plex .22 LR Scope

Droptine 3-9x40mm Rifle Scope: Precision Optics for .22 LR Shooting

The Burris Droptine 3-9x40mm is a compact, lightweight scope purpose-built for .22 LR shooters who demand accuracy without unnecessary bulk. This is a working scope—no frills, no complications, just clear glass and reliable mechanics.

Optical Performance

Burris engineers this scope with high-grade optical glass and precision-ground lenses larger than comparable models. This design choice matters: bigger lenses collect more light, which translates to a brighter sight picture in low-light conditions. The Index-matched Hi-Lume multicoating reduces glare and enhances contrast, giving you a clearer view of your target whether you're shooting at dawn or dusk.

The Ballistic Plex Reticle

The Ballistic Plex reticle is elegantly simple. It provides holdover points for extended-range shooting without cluttering your field of view. The reticle is calibrated specifically for .22 LR ammunition, with focus set at 50 yards—the practical hunting distance for this cartridge.

Mechanical Reliability

Positive steel-on-steel adjustments ensure repeatable accuracy. The low-profile turrets are finger-adjustable for quick corrections in the field. A durable 1-inch solid outer tube withstands recoil and vibration. Nitrogen-filled tubes prevent internal fogging even in cold, wet conditions.
