Arisaka 600 Series Light Body Overview

The Arisaka 600 Series Light Body is a purpose-built replacement body for SureFire Scout Light M600 weapon lights. This is not a complete light—it's a component designed to solve a specific problem: front sight clearance when mounting lights on modern rifle handguards.

Design and Compatibility

Unlike the stock SureFire M600, the 600 Series Light Body eliminates the integrated Picatinny clamp mounting interface. This seemingly simple change creates significantly more clearance for front sights, especially when paired with the Arisaka Inline Scout Mount on handguards featuring 45-degree mounting surfaces adjacent to the top rail.

The light body retains the mounting holes and square lug interface on its underside, making it compatible with:

• SureFire Scout Light M600 series tailcaps (KM2C, KE2A, KX2C)
• Infrared heads (full support)
• Any aftermarket Scout mount
• 16650 cells

What It Won't Work With

The 600 Series Light Body is not compatible with the SureFire M600DF head or 18650 cells. Plan your component selection accordingly.

Building Your Light

You can assemble a complete light from scratch using the 600 Series Light Body as your foundation. Many shooters pair it with aftermarket heads like the Malkoff E2HT or E2XT, which offer superior beam profiles, higher candela output, and USA manufacturing compared to SureFire's standard offerings.
