The Athena Linear Compensator represents a thoughtful approach to muzzle management for the modern AR-15 platform. Rather than chasing maximum recoil reduction, Ultradyne has optimized this device around what matters most to the shooter: controlling muzzle rise and managing sound signature.

Design and Function

The Athena vents gas at a carefully calculated angle, directing it forward rather than rearward. This design philosophy accomplishes two critical objectives:

• Reduced Muzzle Rise: Angled gas venting keeps the muzzle down between shots, improving shot-to-shot accuracy and control
• Sonic Management: By directing sound forward and away from the shooter, the Athena minimizes the noise signature experienced at the shooter's position

Construction and Compatibility

Machined from 416 stainless steel, the Athena is built to withstand the rigors of regular shooting. At 3.8 ounces, it adds minimal weight to your rifle while providing substantial performance benefits.

The compensator threads onto AR-15 barrels with 1/2x28 threads, the standard for 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington rifles. Installation is straightforward—Ultradyne includes a shrouded timing nut to ensure proper alignment and secure mounting.
