Construction and Materials
Blade: SOG's 420 stainless steel receives a hardcased black coating that resists scratches and corrosion. The blade stock measures 0.135 inches thick—substantial enough for durability without excess weight. Hardness is maintained at Rc. 51-53, providing edge retention suitable for both throwing and utility work.
Handle: Glass-reinforced nylon construction wraps around paracord, offering secure grip and emergency cordage. You can use the knives with or without the paracord wrapping, adapting them to your preference.
