Design and Handling
The Protege X Sub-Compact is engineered for shooters who understand that size matters. At just over 6 inches in overall length and weighing less than 17 ounces, this pistol disappears into a waistband holster or jacket pocket without printing. The short sight radius is manageable for defensive distances, and the compact frame fits hands both large and small.
Safety and Control
A manual thumb safety provides positive control and peace of mind. The single-action trigger breaks cleanly, promoting accurate shot placement when it counts. Fixed 3-dot sights offer fast target acquisition in varied lighting conditions—no batteries required, no adjustments needed.
Practical Features
The extended magazine baseplate serves dual purposes: it provides a better grip purchase for smaller hands and makes magazine changes faster and more reliable. The tungsten Cerakote finish resists corrosion and wear, protecting your investment through years of use. Black grips offer a professional appearance and secure handling in all conditions.
The Bottom Line
The TriStar Protege X Sub-Compact is a no-nonsense defensive tool for serious shooters. It delivers the reliability you need when you need it most.
