SOG XL Entrenching Tool with Sheath

A Serious Tool for Serious Work

The SOG XL Entrenching Tool is built for those who demand reliability when it matters most. Forged from high-carbon steel with a tempered blade, this shovel delivers the durability needed for the harshest conditions.

What You Get

Versatile Design: The sharp-toothed blade excels at digging but also handles chopping tasks—clearing brush, cutting through roots, or processing firewood.

Smart Engineering:

• Triangular handle provides superior grip and added leverage when driving the blade into hard ground
• Powder-coated black finish resists corrosion and wear
• Collapsible design expands to 23.25" for full working length, then collapses to just 10" for storage

Ready to Go: Includes a ballistic nylon sheath for secure transport and protection.

Built for the Field

Whether you're digging fire pits, clearing campsites, preparing defensive positions, or simply handling unexpected situations, the SOG XL delivers the performance and portability serious users expect. The compact collapsed length makes it ideal for vehicle storage—trunk, truck bed, or behind the seat—so you're never caught without a proper digging tool.
