Precision CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminum enhanced magazine release with ergonomic V-shaped button face and horizontal serrations. Fits all AR-15 platforms accepting mil-spec releases.
Fits: AR-15
The BAD-EMR represents a thoughtful evolution of the standard magazine release—a small component that, when properly executed, noticeably improves the shooting experience.
Machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum (not the softer 6061 alloy), this release features a precision CNC-finished anodized coating in Olive Drab Green. The fully solid V-shaped button face is the standout feature—no through-holes, no compromises in structural integrity.
The concave V-groove button face is engineered to self-center your index finger as you apply pressure, creating an intuitive and repeatable manipulation. Horizontal parallel serrations are strategically oriented to prevent slippage during vertical finger movement while minimizing drag during horizontal retraction. This is ergonomics informed by actual shooting, not theory.
A skeletonized rear section offsets the weight of the solid button face, keeping the overall weight essentially equal to a standard mil-spec release (approximately 0.002 lbs difference). The slightly increased button height maintains proper proportions without adding unnecessary bulk.
The BAD-EMR is a drop-in replacement for any AR-15 lower receiver that accepts standard mil-spec magazine release buttons. Installation requires no gunsmithing or modifications.
