Midwest Industries Combat Rail Handguard

The Combat Rail represents thoughtful engineering applied to the modern AR-15 platform. This is a purpose-built free-float handguard that separates the barrel from the furniture, allowing the barrel to vibrate naturally and improving accuracy potential.

Design and Construction

Machined from 6061 aluminum and finished with Type 3 hard coat anodizing, this handguard delivers durability without unnecessary weight. The slim profile—1.5" outside diameter, 1.3" inside—keeps your rifle balanced and maneuverable. Every edge is fully dehorned and deburred for comfortable handling.

Mounting and Accessory Options

The Combat Rail features seven sides of M-LOK slots for mounting lights, lasers, grips, and other tactical accessories. A continuous MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail runs the full length at the 12 o'clock position, giving you traditional rail real estate for optics or forward-mounted devices. Two integral anti-rotation QD sling sockets are built into the design—no additional hardware needed.

Each handguard ships with a 4140 heat-treated barrel nut, mounting wrench, and a 5-slot polymer M-LOK rail. The patented 4140 heat-treated torque plate ensures a secure, repeatable installation.
