Crimson Trace RAD Red Dot Sight - 3 MOA

Crimson Trace RAD: Professional-Grade Pistol Optics

The Crimson Trace RAD (Rapid Aiming Dot) represents a thoughtful approach to pistol-mounted optics. This full-size reflex sight is purpose-built for full-frame handguns and delivers the speed and reliability that modern shooters demand.

Optical Performance

• 3 MOA red dot reticle for precise aiming and quick target acquisition
• Recessed, fully multi-coated lens reduces glare and improves light transmission
• Large, unobstructed viewing window enables rapid sight picture acquisition from any shooting position

Practical Design Features

The RAD prioritizes usability in real-world conditions. Large brightness adjustment buttons remain accessible even when wearing heavy gloves. The textured side surfaces provide secure grip purchase when racking the slide—a detail that matters when speed counts.

Durability and Protection

Constructed from 7075 Series aerospace aluminum, the RAD is 30% stronger than standard 6061 aluminum sights. The innovative top strap design deflects impact force, protecting the lens assembly if the sight is dropped. The entire package is IPX7 waterproof, shock-resistant, and fog-proof.

Battery and Operation

• Auto shutoff after 8 hours of continuous operation preserves battery life
• Manual on/off control via side buttons
• CR2016 battery provides 20,000+ hours of runtime (over 2 years)
• Top-mounted battery access for convenient replacement

Installation

The RAD uses the Crimson Trace RAD footprint and is compatible with Docter-pattern optics cuts, making it suitable for most modern slide cuts.
