Spyderco took their iconic Native model—a design refined through decades of real-world use—and stretched it by roughly one-third to create the Native Chief. The result is a larger, more capable cutting tool that maintains the ergonomic excellence of its predecessor while offering increased blade length and presence.

This Sprint Run edition features a blade forged from CPM 15V, a sophisticated steel alloy engineered for exceptional performance. The composition creates an exceptionally high volume of small, ultra-hard vanadium carbides that translate directly to:

• Breathtaking cutting performance across a wide range of materials
• Exceptional edge retention that keeps the blade sharp through extended use
• A full-flat-ground blade geometry that maximizes these steel properties

The blade was heat-treated using a special protocol developed by custom knifemaker Shawn Houston, whose Triple B logo is laser-engraved on the reverse side as a mark of quality.
