Hogue AR-15 Free Float Forend
The Hogue free float forend represents a practical upgrade for shooters seeking improved accuracy and ergonomic control. This rifle-length forend eliminates contact between the barrel and handguard, allowing the barrel to vibrate naturally and consistently—a fundamental principle in precision shooting.
Key Features
- Free Float Design: Barrel floats independently for improved accuracy potential
- Overmolded Rubber Grip: Provides secure, comfortable control in various shooting conditions
- Flat Dark Earth Finish: Durable, low-visibility color scheme
- Rifle Length Profile: Sized for standard AR-15/M16 platforms
- Broad Compatibility: Works with all barrel types using standard Delta ring installations
- Legacy Support: Fits older AR and M16 models with triangular-shaped handguards
Compatibility Notes
This forend is designed for rifles with standard Delta ring barrel assemblies. It will not function with piston-driven gas systems, which use different handguard mounting geometry. The rifle-length profile suits full-size AR platforms and provides ample real estate for mounting accessories or simply managing the rifle comfortably.
Whether you're building a precision rifle or upgrading an existing platform, the Hogue free float forend delivers practical accuracy improvements backed by proven design principles.
