Brenneke Classic Magnum 16-Gauge Shotgun Slugs

Brenneke Classic Magnum Shotgun Slugs

The Brenneke Classic represents a time-tested approach to shotgun slug design, combining proven engineering with practical performance for hunters and sport shooters alike.

Key Features

• Caliber & Specifications: 16-gauge, 2¾" shell length
• Projectile Weight: 1-ounce (492 grains) lead slug
• Velocity: 1580 feet per second
• Design: Patented rear-sliding mechanism that collapses into the point upon impact
• Choke Compatibility: Right-pointing ribs ensure smooth passage through any choke constriction

Performance Characteristics

The Brenneke slug design prioritizes reliability and consistency. The patented rear-sliding construction allows the slug to deform predictably upon impact, creating a controlled expansion pattern. This engineering approach has proven effective across generations of hunting applications.

The ribbed design minimizes friction during passage through various choke tubes, making these slugs suitable for both smooth-bore and rifled barrels. The moderate velocity of 1580 FPS provides manageable recoil while maintaining effective downrange energy.

Practical Applications

These slugs work well for deer hunting, home defense, and general shotgun sport shooting where reliability and predictable performance matter. The 16-gauge platform offers a balance between power and recoil management.
