Eley High Velocity .22 LR 38-Grain Hollow Point

Eley High Velocity .22 LR Ammunition

Eley's High Velocity .22 LR cartridge represents a refined approach to small game and varmint hunting. This subsonic load pairs a 38-grain hollow point projectile with carefully engineered internal ballistics for consistent performance across diverse shooting conditions.

Key Features

• Projectile Design: 38-grain hollow point for controlled expansion and reliable performance on small game
• Case Construction: Black oxidized cases engineered for durability and consistent chamber fit
• Lubrication System: Paraffin wax lubricant ensures smooth cycling in wet, cold, and variable weather conditions
• Internal Ballistics: Greater consistency shot-to-shot, reducing velocity variation for more predictable performance
• Subsonic Performance: Designed to operate below the sound barrier for reduced noise signature

Practical Application

This ammunition excels in hunting scenarios where precision and reliability matter. The hollow point design provides the expansion characteristics needed for clean, ethical harvests of small game, while the subsonic velocity keeps noise levels manageable—a consideration for property-conscious shooters and those hunting in noise-sensitive areas.

The paraffin wax lubricant is particularly valuable for shooters who encounter variable weather. Unlike some traditional lubricants that can become sticky in cold or gummy in heat, this formulation maintains consistent feeding characteristics across temperature ranges.
