Chiappa X-Caliber 12GA/.45 ACP Gauge Adapter Insert

Chiappa X-Caliber Gauge Adapter Insert

The Chiappa X-Caliber represents a practical solution for shooters who want to expand the versatility of their break-action shotgun. This gauge adapter insert allows you to fire .45 ACP ammunition through your 12-gauge shotgun, effectively converting it into a centerfire rifle.

Key Features

• Caliber Conversion: Transforms your 12-gauge break-action shotgun to fire .45 ACP
• Fully Rifled Barrel: 8 inches of precision rifling for accurate shot placement
• Blued Finish: Durable, corrosion-resistant metal finish
• Manual Extraction: Requires manual removal of spent casings
• Universal Compatibility: Designed for use with any break-open shotgun (extractor recommended)

Design and Function

This adapter insert slides into your shotgun's barrel, creating a dedicated .45 ACP shooting experience. The fully rifled construction ensures proper bullet stabilization and accuracy. The 8-inch length provides adequate velocity development for the .45 ACP cartridge.

Practical Considerations

The manual extraction system means you'll remove spent cases by hand—a straightforward process that adds no complexity to operation. For best results, use shotguns equipped with extractors rather than ejectors, as this design works most reliably with that configuration.

This is an excellent way to practice with an economical centerfire cartridge or add shooting versatility to your existing shotgun without purchasing additional firearms.
