Faxon AR15 300 Blackout Barrel

The Faxon 300 Blackout barrel is purpose-built for shooters who demand a compact, hard-working rifle. At 7.5 inches, this barrel delivers the velocity needed for effective 300 Blackout performance while maintaining a truly handy overall package.

Key Features

• Caliber: 300 Blackout
• Length: 7.5 inches
• Twist Rate: 1:8 (handles both subsonic and supersonic ammunition)
• Profile: Gunner (balanced weight and heat capacity)
• Finish: Black
• Compatibility: Standard AR15 platform

Why the Gunner Profile?

Faxon's Gunner profile strikes an intelligent balance between a lightweight pencil barrel and a heavy match barrel. You get sufficient mass for heat management during extended shooting sessions, yet the barrel remains light enough for practical handling. This makes it ideal for both suppressed subsonic shooting and full-power supersonic loads.

Performance Considerations

The 1:8 twist rate is the sweet spot for 300 Blackout, reliably stabilizing the wide range of bullet weights this cartridge offers—from 110-grain varmint rounds to heavy 220-grain subsonic projectiles. Whether you're running this barrel suppressed or unsuppressed, you'll find it delivers consistent, dependable accuracy.
