The Akkar 628 Meat Stick: Upland Hunting Refined
The Akkar 628 represents a purposeful approach to upland shotgun design. This 28-gauge over-under is engineered for hunters who value efficiency and precision in the field.
Key Features
- Gauge & Barrel Length: 28-gauge with 28" ventilated rib barrels—a classic combination for upland birds

- Ventilated Rib: Helps reduce mirage and provides a consistent sight plane
Why the 28-Gauge?
The 28-gauge occupies a sweet spot for upland hunters. It delivers sufficient shot charge for quail, grouse, and woodcock while generating less recoil than larger gauges. This means more enjoyable shooting sessions and faster follow-up shots when needed.
Built for the Hunt
The "Meat Stick" designation reflects this gun's practical purpose: clean, efficient harvesting of upland game. The 28" barrels provide excellent balance and swing characteristics without excessive weight. Whether you're working through thick cover or open fields, this shotgun handles naturally and points instinctively.
This is a working gun for serious upland hunters who understand that sometimes less is more.
