Why This Rifle Works

The 400 Legend represents a thoughtful evolution in hunting cartridges. It delivers effective energy for deer and similar game while generating manageable recoil — a significant advantage for younger hunters, smaller-framed shooters, and those seeking all-day comfort in the field.

The 20-inch barrel keeps the overall package compact without sacrificing velocity or accuracy. Combined with the included scope, this rifle is ready for the stand or the trail immediately upon purchase.

Savage's Axis II platform has earned respect among hunters for its straightforward reliability and accuracy potential. This left-hand variant ensures that southpaw shooters receive the same quality and performance as their right-handed counterparts.
